Leave the VLC SMARTer this Summer

… and, we’re off! The summer class schedule started this morning here at Cooperating School Districts.

Our Level I SMART Board tele class was full today- 19 educators total attended. SMART Certified Teacher Martha Bogart led the class, though due to the size, we split the group for the opening session activity- writing a greeting and sorting those greetings into categories. Rebecca Morrison (right) and Megan Moncure worked with half the class during that activity.

Participants learn about SMART Notebook and its applications, but Martha also gives tips on what do to if a pen gets lost, considering where the IWB should be installed in a classroom, and how to clean a SMART Board should someone accidently use a dry erase marker on it.

Are you SMART enough?

Transforming Learning with a SMART Board (Level 1 Training) takes place again on December 1, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m at Cooperating School Districts.  The cost is $149 for a CSD member and $189 for a non-member.

About the TELE class: the SMART Board is an interactive whiteboard that can improve the way you teach. Come learn how to use this technology tool in your classroom. This is a class for beginners with no prior knowledge of SMART Boards. You’ll also discover how to find & develop lesson plans that make use of this dynamic tool and motivate your 21st century students. (Register here).
