Digital Citizenship is a researched-based practice that helps educators, community leaders and parents to understand the importance of blending character and technology skills for all learners. Today’s technology users should be responsible digital citizens, empowered to be engaged in confident and positive activities while using technology.

On September 21 and 22, the Digital Citizenship Institute, a consortium of international educators, and the Midwest Education Technology Community, a resource of EducationPlus will bring A Weekend of Digital Citizenship to St. Louis, Missouri. It’s a weekend that combines two events; the 3rd annual Digital Citizenship Day (#DigCitDay) and the 4th annual Digital Citizenship Summit (#DigCitSummit) to bring local and global advocates and experts to our host partner, Webster University. (#DigCitWeekend)

We are dedicated to the advancement of digital citizenship education in schools and our larger society, and are excited to present this unique, collaborative event. A Weekend of Digital Citizenship will bring together students, educators, parents and business leaders to develop a community-based approach in raising responsible and positive digital citizens in our society.

Several hundred people are expected to attend this two-day event, featuring a dozen expert speakers, interactive workshops, panel discussions and collaborative digital projects that will spotlight current online and offline issues. We’ll help participants with wisdom and activities that can be used at home, school, work and play. Register for one of the two days separately or attend both for a special combo price!

See in you St. Louis for A Weekend of Digital Citizenship!
