Yesterday, EducationPlus’ new initiative, Principles for Principals, kicked off with more than 100 area principal and assistant principals gathered to hear from Dr. Sue Szachowicz. A retired high school principal, she shared the story of how her high school went from failing state tests to acing them. She spoke about how every school has their own DNA, and how leadership brings out collaboration in staff, which provides a united front to ensure positive outcomes for students. Several attendees tweeted during the session using #EdPlusP4P. In addition, Dr. Szachowicz, a Senior Fellow at the International Center for Leadership in Education, provided access to her presentation deck: Szachowicz | Leadership | St. Louis.
The event with Dr. Szachowicz was a free kick off to the new Principles for Principals Academy. EducationPlus, starting October 14, offers a comprehensive professional learning opportunity. If you were unable to make it yesterday, you are still able to register for the academy.
