Christine Ruder is a third grade teacher at Harry S Truman Elementary School in Rolla Public Schools in Rolla, Missouri. She has taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades and has a Masters degree in Computer Education from Fontbonne University. Christine believes learning should be relevant, authentic, and active because she wants her kids to become thinkers. She is passionate about using technology with her students- from digital photography to blogging to learning basic coding skills.
Christine believes in integrating technology with her students so that they can create, connect, and collaborate beyond the walls of the classroom. In 2013, she was selected as a Midwest Spotlight Educator for 2014 for the Midwest Education Technology Conference. This recognition honor leaders from the region in education technology, whose practices are making a difference for students as well as teachers.
She also provides technology support for the teachers in her building and district and enjoy sharing ideas with teachers everywhere. She is an enthusiastic supporter of Edcamps and was a member of the #EdcampSTL planning team.
