Helping History Teachers Teach The Common Core

In an earlier post, we shared information about the National Council for the Social Studies Conference taking place in November in St. Louis. Also in St. Louis, but in September, is the Missouri Council for history Education Conference (MOCHE).

Taking place at the Gateway Conference Center of the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank, September 26-27, the theme is Helping History Teachers Teach The Common Core. Registration is required by September 18. A sampling of topics includes: History for English Language Learners and Struggling Readers; Lewis and Clark Meet Twitter; and Going Beyond the Scavenger Hunt: Methods in Museum Education. Registration includes meals, books, and partial parking, plus networking with like-minded history educators: K-12, public and private, university, parks and museum educators.
