Creating Interactive Whiteboard Lessons to Meet Common Core Standards in the Secondary Classroom

We have two upcoming Saturday workshops on using interactive whiteboards- like Promethan ActivBoards and SMARTBoards- and meeting Common Core State Standards.  Each workshop is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and each costs $50 for CSD member or $70 for non-members. Register online; both workshops are November 10.

This professional development is not for IWB beginners; we’re asking participants to bring existing materials and lessons that you want to revise.

Creating Interactive Whiteboard Lessons to Meet ELA Common Core Standards in the Secondary Classroom   This half-day workshop on November 10th is designed for secondary teachers who want to learn how to meet the English Language Arts Common Core State Standards (CCSS) by using their interactive whiteboard (SMART or Promethean). Find out what the CCSS are and how you can create IWB lessons that align to them.  The focus will be on leveraging your existing IWB lessons and resources to transform them to meet the rigor and relevance requirements of the CCSS.
