Introducing Book Study Workshops this Fall!

Join us during the 2012-13 school year for several ongoing, short-term book study workshops. These workshops will each focus on one book, and participants will have the opportunity to participate in a blended learning environment. Digital Citizenship: It’s Common Sense based on the book, Digital Citizenship for Schools by Mike Ribble & Gerald Bailey. The nine elements of digital citizenship will be discussed and strategies for teaching digital citizenship will be explored.

Learning & Collaborating with Google Tools based on the book, Retool Your School: The Educator’s Essential Guide to Google’s Free Power Apps by James Lerman & Ronique Hicks. Learn how to use all the Google services that are targeted for use in schools with students and teachers and how to become a Google savvy educator.

Free Cool Tools for Educators based on the book, Web 2.0 How to for Educators by Gwen Solomon & Lynne Schrum. Learn how to enhance your 21st century classroom using the latest Internet-based digital tools for communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Tech Tools & Research-Based Strategies based on the book, Using Technology with Classroom Instruction that Works by Howard Pitler, Elizabeth R. Hubbell, Matt Kuhn, & Kim Malenoski. Focusing on incorporating technology tools with McRel’s nine instructional strategies that help increase student achievement.
