Our nominee last year for Outstanding Winner was selected by ISTE! Here’s more about that honor: this award recognizes and honors one leader who is not a PK–12 teacher but has demonstrated outstanding achievement and leadership in implementing technology to improve education. Candidates for the awards are nominated by ISTE affiliates, a network of nearly 80 professional associations representing more than 100,000 educators worldwide. Nominations are reviewed by a team of education and technology professionals from around the world.

The educator selected to receive this award will:

  • Be recognized at ISTE’s annual conference and exposition
  • Receive $1,000 travel stipend to attend ISTE 2012 and a plaque recognizing the recipient’s outstanding achievement
  • Receive a one-year ISTE standard membership
  • Receive a complimentary ISTE 2012 conference registration
  • Be featured in ISTE publications and in press releases provided to local media and on the website
