We’re continuing to feature 2012 Midwest Education Technology Conference Featured Speakers. The Virtual Learning Center and the Advisory Committee are delighted to have Roxanne Glaser (left) and Kathy Schrock (right) be part of METC 2012. Roxanne brings her videoconferencing/ distance learning expertise to the conference while Kathy shares her vast experience in our Library & Media Literacy strand.
Roxanne Glaser is content director for Whirlidurb Video Conference Services. With a masters degree in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University and extensive experience in supporting schools in educational opportunities through distance technologies, she has managed, coordinated and presented via video conference for the past eight years while creating quality collaborative & interactive educational opportunities. Roxanne has presented at conferences in Texas, at ISTE’s Conference since 2008, and also at Elevate 2008 in Alberta, Canada. Roxanne also served as the chairperson for ISTE’s SIG IVC’s playground at ISTE 2010 in Denver and again in Philadelphia in 2011. She will join METC via videoconference from her office in Texas. Kathy Schrock teaches online graduate courses for Wilkes University as part of the Wilkes-Discovery masters program in instructional media. She is known for her practical presentations dealing with pedagogically sound practices for the embedding of technology seamlessly into teaching and learning. Kathy has been a school district Director of Technology, an instructional technology specialist, an adjunct education professor, and a middle school, academic, museum, and public library librarian. She is an Adobe Education Leader, a Google Certified Teacher, and a Discovery Education STAR.
