VLC Spotlight: Megan Moncure

Megan Moncure starting at Cooperating School Districts in September of 2001- she’s coming up on her 10 year anniversary at CSD! Megan began her career as an administrative assistant in the International Education Consortium (IEC). While working for IEC, she became a jack-of-all-trades doing event planning, grant work, accounting and other tasks.

In the fall of 2009, Megan filled in for a Virtual Learning Center (VLC) colleague who went on maternity leave. This ended up lasting six months, and toward the end of that period, Megan was asked to work full-time for the VLC. She officially switched departments on July 1, 2010 and the now primary focus of her job is the planning and execution of the Midwest Education Technology Conference (METC), which is held every February at the St. Charles Convention Center. The upcoming METC  is February 13-14, 2012.

Megan graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri with a B.A. in English and a minor in Computer Science. Megan is originally from Lincoln, Nebraska and tries to get back there at least twice a year. In addition, Megan is an avid gardener and music fan. In her free time when she’s not attending a concert, you will find her outside in all weather- except for the frigid cold of winter.
