Did you know that Martha Bogart has worked as a Program Coordinator and Instructional Technology Specialist for the Cooperating School Districts in St. Louis since 1999? In the Virtual Learning Center, she provides technology integration professional development to area educators. Her goal is to create virtual learning communities and help teachers be the best that they can be. Martha is SMART Certified in both PC and Mac and also in SMART Response.
She has previously worked for the St. Louis Community College as the Director of Supplemental Instruction, an academic support program, and she taught English Composition for nine years at Ranken Technical College in St. Louis. Martha graduated from Grinnell College with a B.A. in English and from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with an M.Ed. in Secondary Reading.
Martha’s favorite movie is Annie Hall (just ask her about the scenes where Christopher Walken and Woody Allen interact). Martha also likes to read fiction, her latest read was The Warmth of Other Suns about the African American migration from the South to the North from 1870-1970. She says it’s a long book, but a great read. She also just finished Every Last Thing by Anna Quindlan.
Martha is teaching several tele classes this summer, including the SMART sessions, the Moodle class, Creating Technology-Rich Lessons to Increase Student Achievement, and Using Technology with Classroom Instruction that Works.
