St. Louis area educators, here is your chance to learn about Second Life and how it can a useful application for your classroom! We’re offering two levels of courses, one on June 15 and 16, the other on June 18.
Second Life for Educators- Level I

Second Life, a 3D virtual world created by it “residents,” offers a range of new and exciting possibilities for educators and their students. Already there is a broad range of prominent educational institutions and organizations exploring the use of virtual worlds for the delivery of a wide range of courses and educational events including distance and flexible education, presentations and discussions, historical recreations, multimedia and game design and language learning practice. This class will take you into the virtual world of Second Life and showcase many of the top educational uses!

Second Life for Educators- Level II

This advanced class takes participants who have completed Second Life for Educators- Level I into the more advanced features of the multi-user virtual environment. Participants will learn how to participate in a personal learning network in Second Life and how to create their own learning environment.
