(K-12 educators & support staff) * 4 – 5 p.m. CST on 11/20/2007

This videoconference is presented by Lynn Baer of BJC Health. Participants will connect to the workshop from their school over interactive videoconference.

Teens & Prescription Drug Use: There is a new and disturbing trend that teachers, administrators, and parents need to be educated on.  Teens are now abusing prescription drugs at an alarming rate, which can cause serious health problems or death.  Learn about the reasons why teens are abusing prescription drugs, the types of medications teens are using, and how easy they are to access.  With increased knowledge about this trend, schools can help identify and guide students and their parents to some much-needed answers.  A question and answer session will conclude this hour-long videoconference.

Don’t miss out on this important session.  Reservations will be taken until Friday, 11/17/07- contact CSD to reserve your spot in this very popular series!  New Links members, this is free; for non-members, it is $50/site.

  1. Dear VIC:
Can we be included in your Mental HeaIth Video Conference please. I am an English professor trying to help some young Dr´s in Chile to get video conferences via a newly donated video conference equipment. They work at one of the poorest communities in IX region of Chile called Chol Chol and as rural Drs are always trying to benefit their town with all the resources they can on their own.

I would like to know as well if any Dr. or organization afiliated to your organization will be willing to donate a 30 minute period of their time to have a video conference with a group of young Dr´s. in Chile South America, one of them is my English student and the public hospital he works at received a donated video conference equipment that they are eager to use but do not have the contacts to use it, they serve one of the most poorest communities in the IX region of Chile and are trying to get video conferences from other Dr´s or health practicioners who might be willing to donate their knowledge and give them 30 minutes of their time to benefit one of the most poorest communities in our Region (Chol-Chol)and also help colleagues on the other side of America.
Please let me know if this is possible, I am trying to help them they are interested on ANY topic related to health practice or campaigns against Diabetis, HIV, or any issue that affects vast numbers specially of poor people, please let us know as well if you have any other organizations that might help us, thank you kindly for your time
