Friday, January 10, 2014 Midwest Spotlight Educator: Nick Cusumano
Nick Cusumano is in his 19th year of teaching Theatre & Film at Fort Zumwalt South High School in St. Peters, Missouri. At Fort Zumwalt, he serves as his building’s Instructional Technology Representative and leads the Fort Zumwalt Instructional Technology Force. In 2013, Nick was selected as a Midwest Spotlight Educator for 2014 for the METC Conference. This recognition honor leaders from the region in education technology, whose practices are making a difference for students as well as teachers.
Nick is a Google Authorized Education Trainer. In May, he became a Google Certified Teacher at the Sydney, Australia, Google Teacher Academy. Last July, Nick was one of the keynote speakers at Google in Education: Technology & Awareness Summit in Kansas City, Missouri. In addition, he co-hosts the TheatreCast podcast on the Edreach Network and in his blog http://edtech4theatre.com, he showcases, creates, and curates content focused on educational technology resources for Theatre and Film teachers.
